If I'm going for a nice but good camera, i'm likely gonna go for the sony a6300, especially for model photography. I don't need anything expensive, but also considering an investment on cameras, thats the one i'm going for.
It's has a nice size, it packs a punch, and although i'm in no hurry to get one yet, i'm gonna wait till mid-2017 onwards to see what good deals they'll have at upcoming electronics shows

Thanks for the vids and for bringing information for us newbies. It's helpful to get info from someone who knows their stuff without feeling intimidated by a know-it-all sales person. Cheers.

Labeling anything The Best is bound to provoke controversy. That said, I agree that the Panasonic Lumix GM1 packs a lot of performance into an amazingly compact body. When I want better quality than a point-and-shoot but weight and space are important considerations, I carry my GM1 with the great Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 lens. I even shot astrophotography with this setup last week. It's a versatile setup and easy to carry.

Currently I just bought the Sony A5000 with an APS-C sensor, 180 degree articulating LCD, lightweight, compact and takes really nice photos plus you can get a variety of lenses too. I really like this camera and the video is really nice too

No Sony Mirrorless cameras?? What??! That's weird as Sony has the best travel cameras on the market I think so.. I have one Sony A5000 as well and it's great camera as it's light, compact, superb picture quality and you can also change lenses and it has the same APS-C as other big and heavy dslr cameras so I think it's big mistake miss Sony Mirrorless cameras as the best travel cameras 😉

Awesome! I heard that you are bit of more technical. I am trying to buy my first camera and a trip is planned after 10 days. Since morning I have been checking all reviews. I am looking for a lightweight camera which can be used for travel + youtube vlogging. Earlier I selected Canon g7x but it does not have external mic support. Can you suggest me a good compact camera with the same. (interchangeble lens would be an added benefit) I am open to both Canon and Sony. Any advise would be appreciated for a travel enthusiast like me and my girl. Thanks!?

Hey Winter, so I am very curious about the Panasonic gm1 since it is cheaper then a 70d dslr. What type of photography is this camera built for, landscape, action, portrait? What are your top all around lenses for this camera? I love the old fashion look of it. Very interested after watching this video.
